How to Set Up the Pearl Button in Open Dental:
Note: You must have Security Access on your user in Open Dental to complete these steps. If you do not have the necessary permissions, please ask someone on your team with Security Access to complete the setup for you.

In Open Dental, go to Setup > Program Links
2. A new windows will be open, please select the + Add button from the bottom left.
3. Once the program link page opens update these fields to:

Description: Pearl

Path or file to open: https://secondopinion.hellopearl.com/#/v2/ORGID/OID/search/patient/[FName]%20[LName]

Tab Button Name: Second Opinion

Button Settings: Hold CTRL while selecting toolbars to add the button to multiple workstations

Button Image: You may right-click the icon image below to save and upload it for your button image

Click OK to save

The Second Opinion tab will now be available on all workstations.
Important: Each user must log out and log back in on their workstation for the new tab to appear.
You will now see the Pearl button in your toolbar and on all workstations if you set up to do so—clicking it will instantly open Second Opinion to the matching patient file.
