Understanding Overdue Alerts in Practice Intelligence

Practice Intelligence (PI) automatically flags patients who are overdue for common procedures like FMX, BWX, hygiene visits, and perio charting — helping you proactively schedule care.

Default Alert Timelines:

  • Need FMX (Full Mouth Series): Every 3 years 

  • Need BWX (Bitewings): Every 1 year

  • Need Cleaning (Prophy or Perio Maintenance): 

    • Prophy: Every 6 months

    • Perio Maintenance: Every 4 months

Where PI Gets Its Data: These alerts are based on the patient’s last recorded treatment date in your Practice Management System (PMS).

Pro Tip:
If a patient appears overdue incorrectly, double-check your PMS records and sync settings first. If the issue persists, contact support.
